Training & Placement Team

The Training and placement office is headed by the fulltime placement officer. Training Division

Objective

To mould the students to meet the corporate expectation, Banking Sector and Competitive Examinations.

  1. Employability Skill Development Programme.
    Based on the observation about the companies and from the recommendation of the advisory board and various company personal, the required skills are identified and a specialised training curriculum is developed and trained through experienced trainers.

The training classes are planned along with the regular curriculum and are conducted for 3 continuous hours per week per class. Training is given by the leading Training companies of the Market.

  • First year : Orientation towards Engineering & Attitude Transition
  • Second year : Attitude Transition II & Language Development Program
  • Third Year : Aptitude level I & Level II
  • Final Year : Company specific Training & Finishing School.

1.1 Placement Hour Training.

The training classes are planned along with the regular curriculum and are conducted 3 continuous hour per week per class. Training is given by the very leading Training companies of the Market like , Innovative Services, Chennai ,FACE ,Chennai , Afan, Analytics & Smart.

1.2 Placement Tests & Mock Interview Practice.

Exclusive Testing software is available for conduction of Aptitude and coding test.Coding and Aptitude Test is conducted along with each Internal Tests. In addition Rigorous Testing Practice (Computer Based tests) is given.

During the final years Three levels of Mock Interviews are conducted for customised interview practice.

  5. At the end of each semester examination after providing vacation leave for 10 days, this intensive training season starts. Culture Building Division aims to bring awareness about oneself and exposure about the Market and the real world. Confidence Building Online Test software : With online line testing tool, online user id – password is given to each student separately. This platform has various testing options for Aptitude skills, Verbal skills, Email skills, Coding skills and technical skills and vast number of self practice test in the above mentioned areas. Students in MEC can check their skill level with the students of different campus in the cities. Before taking up the interview, students are well understood about the existing competition both inside and outside the campus. Placement Knowledge Bank compiles and shares all required training materials A dedicated placement corner is available in our main library which is stuffed with – MECSEED, the Placement preparation book, self development books, various magazines about market status, books on various companies interview question papers, books on interview preparation and Specially designed syllabus of Placement book will be issued to each Student.

3. Self Learning Hub

Reading Skill : Daily English newspaper is issued to all the students to create exposure and to develop English Reading skills. Activities based on English newspaper is being conducted during Placement hour. World is keep on changing. This demands continuous Learning. Searching and Self learning according to the needs of my Job is very important skill for the students. Focus and self learning Practice is being the mot to of this Hub.

CGCEB provides counseling to the needy students. The Objective of this cell is to create vision in the student’s mindset about their career. Proctor in-charges of this team closely monitors the academic performance of each student.
