Mailam Engineering College is a self-financing institution that was established in 1998 in Villupuram district. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. It offers eight undergraduate courses and six postgraduate courses.
The college is located in a sprawling campus of 42 acres, which is beautifully landscaped and aesthetically elegant. The campus is also close to the Sri Subramania Swamy Koil and Sri Vakkarakali Amman koil, which provide a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere for the pursuit of technical education. Mailam Engineering College is one of the top engineering colleges in Villupuram district.

Mailam Engineering College was founded in 1998 with the aim to provide quality education to young people. The college offers a variety of courses that teach students the skills they need to succeed in a global marketplace. MEC aims to become a leader in developing the next generation of teaching and learning methods. TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES (TCS) is the MNC and global leader in IT services and business digital solutions, leading in the Industry 4.0 landscape, with a workforce of 4,48,464 employees across 46 countries.
TCS has accorded Accreditation status to Mailam Engineering College in the year 2011, which is a privilege enjoyed by very few institutions. The institution is very proud to announce that MEC is the only institution accredited by TCS, among the colleges in the Villupuram, Cuddalore, and Tiruvannamalai districts.
Experts from TCS visited the campus and critically evaluated the college in various parameters like students’ performance, pedagogy, infrastructure, laboratory facilities, library resources, management, and educational environment. After being fully satisfied TCS granted the Accreditation status to our College.
As an Accreditation advantage, the institution is able to provide students, a lot of benefits from TCS.TCS provides campus commune online accounts to each student from the first year onwards, through which our students were addressed well in advance about the Technological disruptions happening in the market from time to time. TCS invites students to a lot of technical events at the TCS office, delivers Industry lectures, MNC Internships, TCS Student Ambassador recognition, conducts many competitions through which provides additional job offers, in addition to the offers released from the regular Day1 campus recruitment.
