MEC MCA’s Scope:
The Computer Application Department at our Commission has been successfully functioning since the year 2000. It accepts students from our secondary school and colleges. The department organizes technical seminars, workshops, and industrial visits. The department has a state of the lab to enable students to witness the best technologies before their eyes. The department guides students to participate in national and international conferences and seminars. It is a part of the department’s activity to make students indulge in co-curricular and extra–curricular activities. The department has a student association (MCASA) to encourage and motivate students to conduct seminars, and workshops on the latest IT issues and to participate themselves in industry interactions. To conduct an online programming aptitude test for their career development. The department encourages students to enhance their technical knowledge, soft skills, and communications skills to succeed in their careers.

Parimala. A from 3rd year MCA department has attended the Android competition on 5th March 2020 at MIT, Pondicherry. Anitha. V from the 3rd year MCA department attended the IOT workshop on 21st January 2019 in SMVEC College, Pondicherry. Keerthika R has got University First Rank with Gold Medal for the year 2018. And 22 students from the MCA department have got university ranks in the year 2018. Ezhilarasan from the 2nd year MCA department won 2nd prize in the event web Development Programme at Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology, Pondicherry on 9th February 2018. And Nisha and Sathiya from 2nd year MCA department have participated in FlaBBergast-’18 National Level Technical Symposium at Adiparasakthi Engineering college, Melmaruvathur on 24th February 2018.
