B.E. – Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Electrical & Electronics Engineering is one of the core branches of engineering. Studying EEE would help understand the production, utilization & distribution of electrical energy. It also covers important portions in Electronics. The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Mailam Engineering College works with the mission of providing its students with a high quality education so that they are well prepared to become high caliber Electrical and Electronics engineers and it aspires to grow to the level of gaining global recognition.
During first year of engineering, Electrical engineering students learn about Common engineering courses like Engineering mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing and fundamentals of computing. From second year, they will start learning about Electromagnetic Theory, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Electrical Machines, Transmission and Distribution, Discrete Time Systems and Signal Processing, Measurements and Instrumentation, Power System Analysis, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Power Plant Engineering, Power Electronics, Control Systems, Solid State Drives, Design of Electrical Machines, Power System Operation and Control, Embedded Systems, High Voltage Engineering, Protection and Switchgear, Special Electrical Machines, Electric Energy Generation, Utilization and Conservation. By the end of final year, students can be well equipped with the understanding of working and application of electric systems and engineering.
Since Electrical energy is the most suitable & economical form of energy a person knowing to control it would easily find a job in any sector. There are good opportunities for jobs in electrical engineering industry, Higher education, Defense, Research, etc. There is lot of multidisciplinary research for developing electric vehicles with great funding and scope all over the world. At the same time, good opportunities back home in Core companies like ABB, Bajaj International Private Ltd., Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Centre for Electronics Design and Technology, Crompton Greaves Limited (CGL), Siemens Ltd., Reliance power Ltd., and Wipro Lighting offer a lot of job openings for Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
