Mailam Engineering College (MEC), a self financing institution was established in 1998, in Villupuram district. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college offers 6 Undergraduate Courses and 6 Postgraduate Courses. The college is built in a sprawling campus of 50 acres.
